Penn International VISX

Designed to maximise the direct power of modern high performance braid lines, the Penn International VISX 2-speed reels feature a full metal body and side-plates to retain perfect alignment under maximum load. The ultra smooth but extremely powerful lever drag system incorporating Dura Drag washers ensures a smooth delivery of line on demand, even when set heavy.

The drag is ratcheted to prevent drag creep when constantly trolling. The Quick-Shift 2-speeder change is instantly finger tip controlled, with the lower option there to put maximum pressure on big fish at depth. But with strategically positioned shielded stainless steel ball-bearings in place, even under heavy pressure, the retrieve is smooth and powerful. Penn’s long heritage and expertise has produced a reel for record breakers.

The PENN International VISX series is designed and manufactured in the USA of domestic and imported components. Precision machined from high-strength, lightweight, aircraft grade aluminum in our Philadelphia machining center. Our experienced crew has been designing and producing durable, high-quality reels in this facility since 1932.  The VI consists of a large stainless steel gear train for strength and speed, and a Dura-Drag system which results in a smoother start up and virtually eliminates hesitation, even under extreme drag settings.
