Sharpes Salmon Gye Nets
The original Gye net was first designed in 1928. It has stood the test of time and many anglers would agree has never been beaten. Carried over your back, you can just release the peel sling to use it. The net head will then fall down making the operation just one handed.
The sliding handle and 24″ or 27″ diameter net frames are constructed from high tensile aluminium with a cast alloy powder coated block. The net is supplied with a leather peel sling and a high quality Sharpe’s knotless net bag (Code HSH-KL8) with 3″ (80mm) square meshes. These are approximately 36″ deep.
We often learn that these nets have been passed down from each generation! The 24-27″ Gye nets are some of the most popular sizes and capable of holding fish up to 27/28 lbs. One has even been recorded at 30 lbs, but assistance was needed!
