Silver Sedge Fly
We see sedges on the surface of the water moving in bursts, so we should do the same with our flies. Cast a single fly and twitch retrieve the fly, 12 to 18 inches, then stop, this mimics the natural fly.
Another deadly alternative rig is to suspend buzzers or diawl bach nymphs below the Sedge as they are highly buoyant, we call this the banker as it’s so deadly. This fly has a popular silver pattern.
